The annual London African Film Festival kicks off on 26 November 2009 with the UK premiere of Algerian drama, Inbound.

The 8-day event will showcase feature films and documentaries at five venues across the capital including the Shoreditch arts centre, Rich Mix.

Festival Director Keith Shiri said: “The rich selection of films creates a unique experience showcasing some of Africa’s best and award winning screen talent.”

Highlights of the event include From A Whisper, a compelling drama based on the bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi in 1998.

The festival is part-funded by Film London and the UK Film Council. For full programme details visit: www.africaatthepictures.co.uk.
