A 54 year old man has appeared at the Central Criminal Court charged with the murder of Julie Dorsett from Hackney. Sinclair Lewis was arrested in Teignmouth, Devon on Tuesday and transferred to a North London police station. He appeared at Hendon Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey today.

Julie Dorsett was 33 years old and lived at Wren Park House, off Warwick Grove in E5 when she became the subject of a missing persons enquiry from 2002.

Sinclair Lewis is expected to appear at the Old Bailey again on 24 August.
