Telegraph Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team have conducted a drugs bust this morning at a property on Evelina Road.

Acting in conjunction with officers from the Territorial Support Group and the Dogs Unit, they entered the address at approximately 5.30 am.

Cannabis along with drugs paraphernalia and a mobile phone, which is believed to be stolen were found during the raid.

A 39-year-old man was arrested for possession of Class B drugs and on suspicion of handling stolen goods. He has been taken in custody at a South London Police Station.

Police Sergeant Karl Parish from Telegraph Hill Safer Neighbourhoods Team stated: “We attended the address this morning following complaints by local residents about the levels of anti social behaviour taking place. Tackling drug use and supply is one of our ward priorities and people should feel confident that if they do report a problem to us, then we will take action to try and resolve it.”

Further developments are due to be released by the Met throughout the day.
