Fourth man charged in wine bar birthday killing

A fourth man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Aarron McKoy on New Year’s Day.

Three Hackney men were arrested after McKoy was murdered in Islington after celebrating his 22nd birthday.

The murdered followed an altercation outside The Wine Bar on Portpool Lane where another man was also stabbed.

Perrie Dennis, 22, from Stoke Newington, is to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court. Three other men including Ceon Hewitt, 21, and Jack Nichols, 21, from Wickford and Dean Smith, 25, all from Hackney, have been charged with murder and possession of a firearm with the intent of endangering life.

Another Hackney man has also been linked to the stabbing. Kieron Caesar, 23,  is charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a 24-year-old man in Clerkenwell on 1 January.

Local businesses had been asked to provide CCTV footage  to officers investigating the case.
