Their website says it best: “Like mud-wrestling, only with words. Stand up poetry for those who don’t like poetry, especially the stuff about thwarted love and daffodils. Speakeasy Reloaded

This event combines hip-hop artists, poetry purists, stand-up comics, and everything in between. new faces are key to SR, with a lot of artists having their fist proper slot here. A DJ and live singers in between acts also make this night one of the best spoken word events in east London.

Breakin’ Out

Featuring poetry, music and comedy acts with a limited number of open mic slots. Audience participation is guaranteed on the occasional poetry slam nights where you get to compete and vote for the best acts.
