Roger Sedgley, the Green Party’s candidate for the London Assembly in Greenwich and Lewisham, told EastLondonLines about his campaign.

 

 

 

His pledges

• Fair pay – a fair living wage for Londoners

• Housing – introduction of living rent, cooperative housing

• Employment – invest in green industry to create jobs

• Environment – fortnightly rubbish collections, common London policy on recycling, target of 80% of waste recycled, and nothing going to landfill

The Green Party candidate also spoke about the recent occupation of houses in Lewisham by Lewisham People Before Profit, and his views on the Occupy movement.

Sedgley is an architect in Greenwich town centre, having lived in the borough for the past 25 years. He has previously stood as a candidate for Lewisham Council.
