A 56-year-old woman is in a critical condition after being hit by a bus in Stoke Newington on Saturday.

Police were called at around 4:30pm to Stoke Newington Road at the junction of Princess May Road.

London Ambulance Service took the pedestrian to an East London hospital.

Inquiries continue and there were no arrests.

The bus was a rail replacement service travelling towards Tottenham.
