Police have confirmed that Queen Mary student Gianni Sonvico is still missing, nearly a week after his disappearance.

Despite a number of rumours circulating about the 23-year-old’s whereabouts, the Metropolitan police have no further information regarding the young man’s disappearance.

As East London Lines previously reported, Sonvico, described as white, 5ft 7in tall, with dark hair and a slim build was last seen leaving Tower Hill tube station on Friday October 25.

Two days ago, Maya Sonvico made a plea on youtube to find her missing brother.

In the video (see below) Maya asks anyone with information about her brother’s whereabouts to come forward.

A Facebook page titled “Find Gianni Sonvico” has also been set up by friends and family, appealing for further information.

A recent comment on the page suggested that Master David Ormerod of the Law Commission had said that Sonvico had been involved in a tragic accident.

However, The Law Commission told East London Lines they had not released such statement.

The Law Commission press office stated: “Our information regarding this boy’s disappearance is the same as the Met Police, he is still missing.”

East London Lines will be keeping you up to date on this case with any further developments coming directly from the police.

At present, police are still urgently calling for witnesses. If anyone has any information of his whereabouts please call Islington CID on 07766 781 861, the police non-emergency line on 101 or Missing People on 116 000.
