Two terror suspects arrested in Tower Hamlets

Two men were arrested last night in Tower Hamlets as part of ongoing counter terrorism raids.

Four men in total were arrested last night on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

Two of them, both aged 25, were arrested on Mansell Street in Tower Hamlets.

They were taken to a South London police station along with a man aged 29 who was arrested in Peckham and a man aged 28 arrested in Bayswater.

Searches are ongoing at six addresses in London and on two vehicles.

The Met reported these arrests were part of a “pre-planned intelligence operation.”
