An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds during a fight in Croydon in the early hours of this morning.

Police responded to reports of a fight that broke out on Queen’s Road at Bensham Manor ward at just after 1:45am.

Three males, ranging from late teens to early 20s were taken into police custody and have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are currently being questioned into their role with the incident.

There is no word on the victim’s condition although authorities say his injuries are non-life threatening.

Officers from Operation Trident and the Met’s gang crime command are investigating the incident and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
