The man who died after falling off JP Morgan’s offices in Canary Wharf yesterday has been named as Gabriel Magee, vice president in CIB Technology.

JP Morgan have confirmed that Magee joined the organisation in 2004 where he worked in the technology sector and not in the trading or banking sector.

A JP Morgan spokesperson said: “We are deeply saddened to have lost a member of the JP Morgan family at 25 Bank Street today.  Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family and his friends.”

Police were called to Bank Street yesterday at around 8 am after reports of a man falling from the building and landing on the ninth floor roof.

Magee, 39, was pronounced dead after London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene.

Emily B wrote on Twitter: “It’s not a nice view from my building. The body is on the rooftop of level nine. So sad.”

Andrew Lawrence wrote: “A sorry view from my desk. Police everywhere, but nobody approaching the body.”

The police are not treating the incident as being suspicious.
