Spring has sprung and with that comes the beginning of sunshine, okay and some smog! But an end to the winter is in sight and these events will certainly put a spring in your step. Here at Eastlondonlines we have everything in your borough covered from jazz jams to Easter egg hunts.

Lewisham

Jazz Jam at the New Cross Inn

If you are partial to a bit of jazz, head to the New Cross Inn on Sunday for a Jazz Jam. A perfect way to chill out on a Sunday. If you want to jam bring your own instruments, all abilities are welcome. Otherwise, just bring yourself and enjoy! The session starts at 2pm, admission is free. Click here for more details

Damm Yankees at Brockley Jack Studio Theatre

This week the Lewisham theatre pulled up the curtain on its latest production, Damm Yankees. Based on the novel The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant, this famous Tony Award winning musical is, as you may have guessed, all about baseball. The original score features Adler and Ross hits such as Whatever Lola Wants. The play runs until April 12 and tickets are £14. Click here for more details

Craft Fair at Deptford Lounge

This Saturday why not head down the community hub for a fun day of crafts, live music and handmade goods from an array of talented local designers. The Giffin Square Food Fair is just outside so you wont be short of a tasty bite either. The fair starts at 10am and admission is free. Click here for more details

Brick Lane 30 Years On at Rich Mix

On Friday the east end arts center is opening an exhibition of black and white photographs by Phil Maxwell  documenting the social change of Brick Lane from 1982 to the present day. Click here for more details 

Hackney

Scratch That at Hackney Picture House

Fancy yourself as a bit of a self styled Simon Cowell? Head to Mare Street on Thursday for a showcase of fresh talent, where you as the audience get to give feedback! A mixture, of performances from musicians and comedians. The performances starts at 7:30pm and tickets are £6 in advance and £8 on the door. Click here for more details 

Easter Egg hunt at Sutton House

Easter egg hunt time has come and what better way than to kick off this lovely tradition at Sutton House. There will chocolate eggs trailed round the National Trust property and did we mention this event is for ALL ages! Following the hunt, there will be a tea party, in celebration of Sutton House's 20th anniversary of being open to the public.
