The newly launched Cotton’s Gardens Market, held every Sunday in Shoreditch, transforms a nightclub to host daytime activities.

Located under a railway bridge at the venue Rolling Stock on Kingsland Road, the pop-up market invites local food start-ups, live art, DJs and guest speakers. The space is also being utilized as an art gallery, which will showcase a different local artist each week.

Market manager Ana Rosas said: “Music brings people together but so does a market. We blended the two, added high end food stalls, as well as hand picked arts and crafts vendors.

“It is very homely and feels intimate. It’s like being invited to a friends terrace where one can eat, drink and relax in the sun and check out the crafts stalls inside our beautiful arched venue. We have fewer stalls than other markets so we keep the community feel, all hand picked to suit our visitors.”

By working with local traders and business operators, Ms Rosas believes the market will benefit the community. She said: “We have welcomed local food start-ups and we feel it’s a great place to start their venture. Our traders are passionate people who are now gaining experience on the field. We are absolutely thrilled and will support them all the way into bigger events”.

The market is open every Sunday from 12pm, at 48 Kingsland Road.
Entry is free and visitors are welcome to bring pets.
