Crystal Palace’s much anticipated opening game of the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League against Arsenal will be broadcast live.

Kick-off at the Emirates Stadium has been moved from the more traditionally time of 3pm to 5.30pm on Saturday, August 16.

The Eagles lost 2-0 in both games against Arsenal last season, and will be looking for a change of fortune this year in front of an audience of potentially billions of football fans.

The game will be broadcast on Sky Sports, and another two Palace matches will also be broadcast before December.

Coverage of the Arsenal game will be followed by Sunderland’s visit to Selhurst Park, which will be Sky’s live Monday Night Football offering on November 3.

The third game is against Liverpool, with Brendan Rodger’s title-contenders traveling to south-east London for kick-off at 1.30pm on Sunday, November 23.
