The fashion conscious of east London were out on show at Old Spitalfields Market in Tower Hamlets on Monday – nothing new there, one might think, but the faces on display were of a furrier disposition than usual.

The Paw Pageant, in association with LoveMyDog, saw hundreds of dapper looking dogs strut their stuff down the “dog walk” on the Bank Holiday to raise money for the Battersea Dog and Cats Home, attracting the fashion conscious, dog lovers and celebrities alike.

Each canine modelled couture pieces designed by Lilly Shahravesh of the LoveMyDog fashion line and were accompanied by human models wearing matching pieces from labels including NW3, Hackett and Oliver Bonas.

After the catwalk show, members of the public had the chance to enter their dogs into competition categories such as “Radiant Rescue”, for rescue dogs; “Dog-el-ganger”, for dogs who look like a celebrity; and “Dog’s got Talent”, an opportunity for fame-aspiring dogs to show off their tricks.
