A 26-year-old man has been charged with murdering a young father in Croydon last week, after the victim was stabbed to death in broad daylight.

Jordan Glasgow of Silverdale, Sydenham, is accused of attacking 24-year-old Adrian Young in Whitehorse Road. Appearing in court today, Glasgow was remanded in custody until November.

Young was chased and later stabbed at around 4.30pm by three men around the area. He collapsed and was treated by paramedics at the scene but later died from his wounds in hospital.

A post-mortem examination held at St George’s mortuary gave the cause of death as a “stab wound to the heart”.

Glasgow was charged on Friday August 29 and appeared the next day in front of Camberwell magistrates. He appeared again on Tuesday at the Old Bailey for a hearing but was remanded in custody to reappear at the same court on November 11 for a Plea and Case Management Hearing (PCMH).
