A man has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer.

Tyrone Henry, 31, of Phoenix Close, Hackney, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on October 17, where he was charged with being in possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and being a prohibited person in possession with a firearm.

The police officer, who was part of an undercover anti-gang operation, is said to be in a stable condition after being shot in the shoulder in broad daylight.

During the hearing, Henry spoke to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
He will next appear in custody at Wood Green Crown Court on October 29.
