Vigil for victims of violence at Ripper Museum

The latest figures from the United Nations suggest that one in three women experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. The figures coincide with a special international campaign for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

In London, a candle lit vigil has been held outside the Jack the Ripper Museum in Whitechapel. Demonstrators gathered outside the museum to remember the Ripper’s victims along with every woman who has experienced violence.

This vigil comes a week after the Government announced their budget, which locals charities warn will make vulnerable women suffer.
