Two more arrests over Croydon murder

Police have arrested two more men in connection with the fatal stabbing of David Darko last Saturday.
 
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder while a 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both were taken to south London police stations for questioning, detectives say. 
 
Joshua Asante, 19, had already appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court by video link on Friday, January 29 charged with murder and was remanded in custody.  He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, February 1. 
 
Darko, 21, from Addiscombe, was found “unresponsive”, at South Norwood recreational ground, close to Tennison Road. A post mortem gave the cause of death as a stab wound.
 
According to the Met Police, a 22-year-old man arrested on Thursday, January, 28 on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail, pending further inquiries, to a date in mid-March.
