Networking with a Difference

Croydon Council’s International Women’s Day at Matthews Yard
Hosted by Croydon Council’s Women’s Network, this event will be a celebration of International Women’s Day and the lives and achievements of Croydon’s women. The event will include talks from guest speakers, live music and performances, open mic and the Phenomenal Women photographic and creative arts exhibition in remembrance and celebration of women past and present.

Make More Noise! Suffragettes in Silent film.
A screening of a fascinating selection of silent films from the BFI National Archive exploring the representation and portrayal of pioneering women on the cinema screen while their battles were still being waged on the streets outside in the first decades of the 20th century. The screening will be followed by an informal discussion.
