Do you like to feel fashionable without the cost of being a fashion victim? Then perhaps Retrospect London – which sells clothes by the kilo rather than the £ – is the place for you.

The company is making waves because of its London Vintage Clothing Kilo Sale in Hackney. The deal is simple, you pay £2 entry, and for every kilogram of clothes weighed, you pay £15.

Retrospect’s business plan involves trying to rescue us all from what it calls “fast fashion” and the high prices that involves. The vintage and retro clothing company says it takes an ethical approach to re-selling clothes.

“We are one of only a few companies who do kilo sales in the UK,” says Katy Lamb, the company’s Social Media and Marketing Manager. “We have visited the others and find our stock is so much better, as we don’t pick out all the good bits and sell to trade first. We want to offer the best quality at the lowest price to the public and traders, equally on a first come- first served basis.”

You can nab some bargains for yourself on May 8 at the Hoxton Arches; remember to queue up early to see what all the hype’s about.
