Spooky Halloween events near you

With Halloween around the corner, it’s time to start planning how to spend the spooky weekend. To help you out, we have gathered some of the coolest things happening across East London, ranging from ghoulish farm days and triple-bill film screenings to ‘80s Halloween discos and indoor festivals.



Horror Triple-Bill Screening

Date: October 30, 4-10.30pm

Cost: £8 (incl booking fee)

Location: The Macbeth Shoreditch, 70 Hoxton Street, N1 6LP

About:  Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. Bringing together three of the most iconic horror-movie characters of the ‘80s for a day of films, costumes, quizzes and prizes. (Minimum age 18.)

Halloween Bottomless Brunch

Date: October 30, 1pm-3pm

Cost: £29.50

Location: Bounce, Old Street, Shoreditch, EC1V 9EY

About: The two-hour ticket at Bounce ping-pong bar includes Bottomless Prosecco, endless slices of speciality Brunch Pizzas and bangin’ tunes by the Hoxton radio DJs

Stepney Day of the Dead

Date: October 30, 11-4pm

Cost: free

Location: Stepney Farm, E1 3DG

About: Take the kids to enjoy Halloween Stepney style, exploring the natural cycles of life, death and ‘waste’. The day includes composting tours, plastic bag crocheting, ghoulish drawing, ‘guess the body part’ game and microscope discoveries. Also visit its ‘death café’, selling healthy locally produced food.

Eerie London Street Art Tour and Workshop

Date: From October 22 to November 6

Cost: £495 for up to six people

Location: various, across the East End

About: Although expensive, the event is bespoke and packed full of spooky, creative activities. The fun starts with a 190-minute walking tour, led by a street artist around London’s East End to look at spooky graffiti in the darker corners of London. Inspired by the artistic streets, you will then head to a special workshop to paint on your own canvas, for your home.

Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet Halloween Party

Date: October 29, 7.30pm

Cost: £11

Location: St Swithun’s Church Hall, Hither Green, SE13 6QE

About: Dance line-ups to Ghostbusters, Time Warp and Thriller, a spooktastic night of ‘70s and ‘80s soul, funk and disco for everyone who loves a good boogie.

Rouges ‘70s and ‘80s Halloween Disco

From Dice till Dawn

Date: October, 10pm-3am

Cost: £6 (incl booking fee)

Location: Dice Bar and Club, 36 High Street, CR0 1RB

About: Dice Bar will be transformed for a one night Halloween special including ghoulish Halloween drinks and best-dressed prizes. There will be a live performance from Santanico Pandemonium accompanied by DJ KURE on the decks playing the best of RNB, house, garage, bashment, hip hop and club classics. (Over 18)

Location: BOXPARK Croydon

About: Halloween Eskimo Dance indoor festival in London’s newest indoor events space. Special guests including Wiley, Ghetts, Jammer, P Money and Mistajam.
