Teenager appears in court over Croydon Halloween stabbing

A 16-year old boy appeared at the Old Bailey today charged with the murder of Scott Kouebitra in Croydon on October 31.

Kouebitra, a 22 year-old recruitment consultant, died from multiple stabbing wounds on Gloucester Road, near King George’s Field, Croydon, after he and a group of friends were attacked in a Croydon park. Three others also suffered stab wounds.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, who was arrested on November 8, appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday to confirm his identity. He also faces 9 other charges including 4 counts of robbery.

A plea and trial preparation hearing has been set for  December 8. The case is preliminarily scheduled to be heard in May next year.

The defendant was remanded in custody.
