Millwall FC coach and goalkeeper nominated for awards

Millwall FC will be hoping for success off the pitch in the London Football Awards after Lions’ coach Neil Harris and player Jordan Archer were nominated in two categories: Manager of the year and the Goalkeeper of the year.  They shared the news on Twitter with fans.

Harris, 39,  has been with Millwall FC since 1998. He started as a football player but since 2015 he has acted as permanent manager. Under his supervision the Lions had a 10-match unbeaten run in the 2016 football  season. As well as Harris, Slavisa Jokanovic,  Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino, Neil Ardley will compete for the award.

23-year-old nominee Jordan Archer signed his contract with Millwall FC in 2015. He has already been awarded the Football League One Player Of The Month Award in February 2016. His competitors this year are Thibaut Courtois, Hugo Lloris, Alex Smithies and Darren Randolph.

The season 2016 – 2017  started in July last year and will not finish until June. The Football awards winners will be  announced on March 2 at Battersea Evolution.
