The line-up has been announced for the third annual Citadel Festival in Victoria Park.

The festival celebrates London’s vibrant creative community with a variety of different music and activities throughout the day, which will take place on July 16.

The Foals are headlining this year’s event alongside acts such as Laura Marling, the Mercury-nominated Wild Beasts and the critically acclaimed producer Bonobo, who has become something of a cult hero since the release of his fourth studio album, Black Sands.

Michael Kiwanuka will perform on the Communal stage this year after the release of his second album, Love & Hate. Joining him will be a whole host of artists including Margaret Glaspy, Nadine Shah and Sylvan Esso.

Joining forces to programme an all-new stage for Citadel Festival, music and culture publication Clash and the streaming service Last.fm will bring a mix of electronic and acoustic acts to the park.

Acts range from Jake Isaac, whose debut single rocketed into the iTunes Top 10 in 2015, to the self-taught African musician Bombino, who embodies four thousand years of Tuareg culture into his drum and guitar driven pieces.

Several workshops, debates, food venders and family driven activities will also be available.

The line-up for the Corona Stage is still yet to be announced.
