Residents canvassed about bus route changes

Croydon residents are being canvassed about possible changes to bus routes in Waddon Marsh.
Currently route 289 runs between Elmers End station and Purley station, while route 455 operates between Purley and Wallington station.
At Waddon Marsh, the two routes run in a loop via Trafalgar Way and Drury Crescent in both directions. The route 289 runs into Croydon Colonnades in the southbound direction only. TfL is aiming to remove the double runs in order to reduce journey times, by cutting stops in Trafalgar Way and Drury Crescent. The idea was born after Londoners have repetitively experienced long delays due to congestion on busy days.
If you want to have your say about the proposal, you can email TfL or fill in the online consultation form here  by Tuesday 7 March.
This consultation is part of the process which fulfils the requirement for TfL to consult under Section 183 of the Greater London Authority Act 1999.
