Police in Lewisham have issued an alert for a 12- year-old schoolgirl from Lewisham who has been missing for over 17 hours.

Lacey Myers lives in Lewisham but has ties to both Hertfordshire and Romford, so could be in those areas as well as London, according to the police.

Her disappearance is the second one of a school pupil in the borough in the last month: 16-year-old Tesfa Young-Williams’ went missing on October 12 in Deptford and has not been seen since.

There is no evidence to suggest their disappearances are linked.

Police urge anyone who has any information regarding either child to contact them immediately at 101. Callers can quote Lacey’s reference number CAD 5507/16NOV17.
