Alkham Road: The first Zeppelin bomb

A loud bang, a fiery blaze and a family asleep on the top floor. Zeppelin LZ 38 dropped an incendiary bomb on 16 Alkham Road, Stoke Newington on 31st May 1915. Inside were Albert Lovell and his wife along with their children and two guests. The video below details the events of that historic evening in Hackney.
