The best places to watch the World Cup in London

It’s down to the final four. England are now one match away from the World Cup final and only Croatia stand in their way, on Wednesday at 19:00 all will be decided. The 28 teams that have already left the competition have seen some of the biggest names depart, we’re without Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar, but does this mean England have a shot at bringing football home?

With it all to play for we have put together our favourite places in London to watch the action unfold –

Skylight London

About: Skylight is one of London’s best rooftop bars and a perfect place to watch the World Cup. The bar has a brilliant selection of cocktails that are all reasonably priced, and the views across London are amazing. There’s also a selection of screens both inside and outside so if we do have a break in the glorious English summertime you don’t have to worry about getting wet.

Last Days of Shoreditch

About: Located right in the heart of East London, Last Days of Shoreditch has to be one of the best places to watch the football, boasting one of the biggest screens in London. Last Days of Shoreditch also has a great selection of street food and several bars with a range of different great drinks. There are also DJs every Thursday-Saturday, so stick around after the game for what will hopefully be some celebrations.

Boxpark Shoreditch

About: Boxpark Shoreditch seems to have it all for this World Cup, amazing atmosphere, a huge range of different street food vendors and a great bar. If the first few fixtures were anything to go by this is definitely somewhere to check out.


The Water Poet

About: For the World Cup this year The Water Poet has put on 9 different screens, including a cinema screen in their cellar bar. Book a table to guarantee a space to sit, unless you want to stand of course.

About: Like Boxpark in Shoreditch, the Croydon site has loads to offer with great food and drink. What really stands out here though is what might just be the best atmosphere in all of London.
