Police issue appeal for missing Goldsmiths student

Police in Lewisham are concerned for the welfare of a missing 21-year-old Seowoo Chang, a Korean student who has not been seen for for ten days.

Chang was seen on Friday November 2, in the Deptford Bridge area of Lewisham.

Chang, a BA Fine Art and Art History student who is known to socialise in the East London area, was wearing a black puffer jacket, Adidas super sandals, and a white baseball cap with a logo on the front reading, ‘YANKS’

Another student at Goldsmiths, who asked not be named, said: “She was always so bubbly and funny to be around. She always makes everything brighter.”

Chang lives in student accomodation in the New Cross area.

A spokesperson for Goldsmiths, University of London said: “We are concerned about Seo and are working with the authorities and the community to help find her as soon as possible.

“We are supporting Seo’s friends and fellow students at Goldsmiths, including offering out of hours campus support.”

Posters appealing for information about Chang’s whereabouts have been put up around the Goldsmiths campus in New Cross.

Chang is  5ft 4in, with long blonde hair, which is dyed. She has a mole on her top lip.

Friends and family are concerned for her wellbeing and urge anyone with information of her whereabouts to contact the police on 101 quoting CAD 8839/06NOV18 or Missing People on 116000 quoting 18MIS044705.
