Exhibition opens to highlight the plight of migrant domestic workers

An exhibition of arts and video exploring the voice of migrant domestic workers has opened in Shoreditch.

The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness about the abuse suffered by some immigrant domestic workers.

The exhibition, titled “My Home is not My Home”, is taking place in l’étrangère gallery, Charlotte Road and will continue until January 26. Opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 6.30pm.

The event was arranged in collaboration with Dr. Joyce Jiang, University of York, Tassia Kobylinska, Goldsmiths University of London, and Marissa Begonia Director of the Voice of Domestic Workers.

On January 20 Dr Joyce Jiang, Tassia Kobylinska and Marissa Begonia will talk about the exhibition. 3pm to 5 pm.
