A new Virtual Reality bar featuring some of the latest games and experiences is opening in Haggerston next month.

Opening in an unused railway arch on April 15, The Otherworld is one of London’s first VR bars and brings the future of entertainment together with Pan-Pacific food and self service beer.

The Otherworld has 14 immersion rooms where adventurers will put on the state-of-the-art VIVE headset so you can get truly lost in one of the 16 different VR experiences and games.

To add to the realism of the VR, the immersion rooms even have heat, wind, rumble and scent effects that respond dynamically to the experience.

Chris Adams, CEO and Co-Founder of the Dream Corporation, who developed ‘The Otherworld’ told Imbiba: “We have developed unique, multisensory technology which immerses you more deeply into virtual worlds than anything else on the market today.”

From climbing Mount Everest to blowing up robots as a space pirate, ‘The Otherworld’ has a VR experience for everyone, even if video games aren’t your thing.

Fruit Ninja and Job Simulator are fun and simple games anyone can and enjoy. You can even put yourself in the shoes of cartoon characters ‘Rick and Morty’, where ‘Virtual Rick-ality’ puts players into an interactive episode of the hit sci-fi comedy show.

For gamers looking for more of a challenge, there are several options to choose from: fast-paced rhythm game ‘Beat Saber’, ‘The gladiator hack’ and the time-freezing puzzle action game ‘Superhot’.

If video games aren’t your cup of tea, then one of the VR experiences might be more up your street. You can scale Mount Everest in ‘Everest VR’ or explore the wonders of the world using ‘Google Earth VR.’

After transporting back to the real world, gamers can pour themselves a craft beer from the self-service tap,  drink cocktails or sample California-inspired street food outlet ‘Lords of Poké.’
