The stalling of Crystal Palace FC administrator Brendan Guilfoyle’s attempts to sell the club has led to a new financial crisis with 29 staff being made redundant on Friday.

The Crystal Palace Supporters’ Trust warns:

“the situation at the club is clearly at a critical point.”

The Trust said it was “deeply saddened by the redundancies of hard-working, loyal staff.” The Trust has announced that it will be launching:

“the loan note scheme this Thursday 3rd June, by which we, the fans, can raise funds to contribute to the purchase of the club and ground.”

The crisis is considered so serious that members of the trust are investigating the contingency of setting up a phoenix club “were the worst to happen and CPFC is liquidated.” There are also reports that worried supporters were to stage a demonstration at Selhurst Park Bank Holiday Monday afternoon (31 May).
