Hackney Podcast Wins Sony Award

It was gold for the local  Hackney Podcast this week at The Sony Radio Awards.  The podcast won the Best Internet Programme category for their radio documentary ‘Water‘. Using sound design, poetry and new music they create an atmospeheric aural delight which inspires the listener to explore the wetter world of Hackney.

The podcast was founded in 2008 by Francesca Panetta who works at The Guardian . She told East London Lines that she was speechless and delighted that the podcast had been acknowledged by the awards.
