ELL designers at Design Week

Gina Lee creates abstract interpretations of emotions using textiles

This week is London Design Week and to celebrate, EastLondonLines will be going out to meet the designers from along the line who are exhibiting their work as part of LDW,  and showcasing them in our featured video slot on the main page.

Barley Massey runs a shop on Broadway market called Fabrications, a gallery, shop, workshop and design studio. She will be exhibiting her ‘Remember me’ service at Design Week, which captures memories in textiles. She is also running fascinator making workshops.


Anna Kompaniets is a Goldsmith’s graduate and designer who ‘upcycles’ her designs, which are made from recovered objects and materials.

Matt House is a second year Goldsmiths Design student, he is working with Annie Sherbourne’s hand-painted sparkly transcendental caravan of creation, which will be travelling to various locations in London including, the Oxo Tower, Covent Garden and Bermondsey, offering workshops on knitting, stitching and finger-puppet making.
