A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment at the Old Bailey today after being found guilty of an attempted murder outside the Ministry of Sound nightclub in south London.

As East London Lines reported, Dwayne McPherson, 28, of Sydenham, shot Ranjit Nankani, 30, of Croydon, after Nankani deliberately mowed down and killed Gary Johnson, 25, with a Mitsubishi Shogun on 31st August 2009.

McPherson targeted Nankani after seeing the attack on his friend Johnson, which took place after a petty argument in a nightclub led to the three being thrown out.

McPherson will serve a minimum of 11 years in prison. He was also sentenced to a concurrent eight year sentence for possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
