Manslaughter brother changes plea to guilty

A 53-year-old man from New Cross changed his plea at the Old Bailey yesterday to guilty, for the manslaughter of his brother.

Richard Coore , 53, of Filton Court , Avonley road, New Cross, is on trial for the death of Perseus Coore, 65, High Wycombe in an incident on September 8th, 2009.Fire fighters were called to an apartment fire in the New Cross area on the night of September 8, 2009, where they discovered the body of Perseus Coore, from High Wycombe in his brother’s home on the second floor of the apartment building.

A post-mortem examination found that the victim had suffered thirty stab wounds.

Previous charges of arson and murder have been dropped due to the change of plea.

Richard Coore will be sentenced at the Old Bailey on April 7.
