East London Lines Young writers features competition opens today and we are looking forward to your entries.
The competition is a great chance for aspiring writers and journalists to show off their talents and potentially get a foot in the door in the competitive world of journalism.
The deadline for the competition is 6th April and the winning entries will be announced on the website’s home page after the school holidays.
This is an excellent opportunity to test out your writing ability, so even if you are not sure about a career in journalism but you enjoy writing you should apply anyway and you may be pleasantly surprised.
One of the outstanding prizes is an automatic place on the Journalism summer school held at Goldsmiths, University of London, where there will be a chance to learn first hand how to write proper news stories and work under pressure to a deadline. The summer school is also an ideal opportunity to get a taste of university life in one of the most vibrant and respected creative institutions.
