Moss makes flying visit home – in a helicopter

Moss smoked and drank wine as she waited on set

Since becoming a model at the age of 14, supermodel Kate Moss has rarely returned to her hometown. But this week the model made a flying visit – touching down in a helicopter on top of Croydon’s Whitgift shopping centre to film an advert for Rimmel make up.

Sporting a bright red Helmut Lang dress with matching nails, lips and shoes, Moss could be seen posturing on the roof at sunrise.

Her hairstyle showed how she had left her hometown behind, eschewing the infamous “Croydon facelift” in favour of flowing waves.

Her visit comes just six months after she said of Croydon: “It’s so rough. My dad was in the pub the other day and somebody got shot.”

The people of Croydon are seemingly impressed with the return of the Kate Moss to Croydon.

Arwa Mahdawi (@ArwaM) wrote on twitter: “Kate Moss filming new Rimmel ad in her hometown of Croydon = Keeping it real. Helicoptering out… not so much.”

Joanne from Purley agreed, writing: “She is a gorgeous lady and it’s so nice she is going back to her roots and promoting Croydon.”
