Aarron McKoy murder: second man charged

A second man has been charged with the murder of Aarron McKoy, 22, who was shot in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

Jack Nichols, 20 from Wickford, Essex was arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

He appeared at Thames Magistrates Court on Friday charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. He has been remanded in custody.

Dean Smith, 25, was arrested previously in connection with the murder and will appear at the Old Bailey for a plea and a case management hearing on April 13.

Also charged is Kieron Caesar, 23, who will appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on March 22 charged with GBH on a 24-year-old man in Clerkenwell on the same day.

Officers also arrested a sixth person in connection with the investigation on Thursday.

A 21-year-old man is currently being held on suspicion of murder at an east London police station.
