Man charged with fatal Lewisham shooting

A man has appeared in court charged with a murder which took place in Lewisham on June 16.

Marlon Campbell was shot during an incident at a house in Lushington Road, Bellingham, Lewisham, last Saturday.  He was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital but died the following day.

A man was arrested shortly afterward and an incident room opened under detective Chief Inspector Chris Le Pere.

Dwayne James Fulgence, 28 appeared at Bromley Magistrates court on Monday charged with the fatal shooting of Campbell and nine other charges relating to firearms offences. These include two counts of possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

The case been sent for trial to the Old Bailey in October.

Four other people arrested over the killing of Campbell have been bailed while police continue inquires.
