A man who was murdered on Lewisham High Street on Saturday evening has been identified as 22-year-old Thierry Christian-Gnanakumar of Catford.
The crime scene outside Lewisham Library has been covered with flowers and tributes have begun to appear.
One read: ‘RIP Sunshine. Going to miss you. You’re irreplaceable. Love you lots. Jini.’
Another said: ‘Thierry my brudda my friend…you will never be forgotten. Always in my heart machi. You gave your life for us. Stay blessed.’
A post-mortem gave cause of death as severe blunt force trauma to the head and face.
The police suspect the deceased was attacked by a group of men and have asked witnesses to step forward with any information.
Three suspects arrested on Sunday in connection with the murder were later released on bail.
An inquest will open on Thursday, November 15 at the Southwark Coroner’s Court.
