Urban Masters Show at the Opera Gallery

Street artists from around the world, including Banksy, Blek Le Rat and Shepard Fairey will be displaying their works at an exhibition in Shoreditch starting this Friday. The Urban Masters show at the Opera Gallery will feature creations by 33 international and local urban artists asked to devise their own tributes to great artists and works of art from the past.

With the planet’s fish stocks increasingly under threat, ‘The Unhidden Collective’ have imagined the stories fishermen will tell once their skills are no longer needed at sea.  Billed as a ‘love story’ about our relationship with the oceans, the work incorporates multiple disciplines to produce an immersive piece of theatre. Early bird tickets are only £5 each, but these go quickly so you will have to move fast if you want a bargain.

Free Photography course for beginners in East London

November 13 onwards

On this free five-week ‘Photos from the Footpath’ course you will take a closer look at the streetscapes, landmarks, parks and people of Bethnal Green, using photography as a focus. The course runs on Tuesdays, from 10am-1pm, starting on Tuesday 13th November. To get the most out of the course you will need to attend all five sessions.
