Remember, remember…
It’s the fifth of November and families will be out celebrating Guy Fawkes Night at a selection of outdoor events around South-East London.
The annual fireworks displays will light up the skies with pyrotechnic pizazz to commemorate the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
Due to large attendances at last year’s events, several South London councils have extended the event times to accommodate more activities and reduce pressure on public transport.
With a variety of entertainment options at each venue, including live music, light shows and children’s performers, it won’t just be fireworks going off long into this evening.
Despite the pleasant glow of the bonfires and the comforts of hot food and drink, make sure you wrap up warmly as the Met Office predicts temperatures will drop sharply in the clear conditions.
