Pensioner critically injured in three car collision in Catford

The Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was critically injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Catford last week.

Emergency services responded to reports of a three-car accident on Brownhill Road in Catford at 7.10am Friday 10 January. The collision took place at the junction with St. Fillans Road.

An 81-year-old man was taken to the hospital in critical condition and next of kin have been informed.

Police have said that the man had been traveling along Brownhill Road in a silver VW Polo when a flat bed lorry collided with the rear of his vehicle. The VW Polo was knocked into the path of a Mercedes Viano.

Both the van and lorry drivers stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made while enquiries are on going.
