Three more youths have been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 12-year-old boy in Croydon.

Of the three youths, two are 13 years old and one is 14 years old.

They have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are currently in custody at a south London police station.

Two other 15-year-old boys have already been arrested in connection with this stabbing, and are currently out on bail until March.

The young victim, the third in six to be stabbed over a 10-day period, was apparently approached by a group of boys outside Tesco Express on Whitehorse Road, on January 20.

Police believe he was stabbed following an altercation with the boys.

Although the victim sustained injuries to his hands and legs, he has since been discharged from hospital.
