Two police officers were admitted to Croydon University Hospital following a crash between two police cars.

The collision occurred in the early hours of the morning in Northcote Road, Selhurst.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman stated: “We were called just before 3.30am to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars in Northcote Road. We sent two ambulance crews and a single responder in a car.”

Firefighters were also called from Croydon and Norbury fire stations, but the ambulance crews had already helped the two officers from the cars.

“Two patients were taken to Croydon University Hospital,” the spokeswoman added. “We have no updates on injuries as the ambulance crews were working nights and are not available at the moment.”

Further updates will follow when available.
