Jules Pipe wins Hackney for another four years

Jules Pipe has comprehensively held onto his position as Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney.

Mr. Pipe comfortably beat his rivals, winning more than fifty percent of the first-choice votes in the process.

The Labour candidate – who has held the position of Mayor for twelve years – will now take on another four years having won 40,850 (59.1%) of the votes.

A total of 69,146 voters out of a possible 174,568 turned out to vote in Hackney (39.61%).

Mischa Borris of the Green Party came second with 11,849 votes (17.1%)
