Worrying new figures suggest that within 20 years it won’t be young people taking any notice of a ‘For Sale’ sign in London – as they’re far more likely to be still living with their parents.

The Nationwide House Price Index shows that house prices across the country rose by nearly 11% in the last twelve months.

The rise was most acute in London, where demand far outweighs supply.

Figures released by Rightmove have shown that prices in Tower Hamlets have trumped those in Kensington and Chelsea, rising by a third in the last 12 months.
