With the World Cup beginning just later today, bars and cafes all over London are gearing up for the festivities by tailoring menus and events to suit football fans of every nationality.

One venue in particular is showing support for their patron country by transforming their space to embody the atmosphere of the South American World Cup host. Floripa, a Brazilian restaurant located in Shoreditch, is running a series of events to welcome all football fans, no matter which team they are cheering for. Events Manager Funmi Faola said: “As Brazilians, we are passionate about everything to do with our culture, from the food to the drinks to the football and our elaborate parties. So [for us] the world cup for us is a month long celebration!”

The standard amenities for watching football will be provided, with large screen TVs, flowing drinks, and enthusiastic crowds. However, in keeping the Brazilian spirit at a maximum, Floripa also promises Samba dancers, DJs, and a Brazilian themed menu.

The festivities begin on Thursday night with the screening of the first match between Brazil and Croatia at 21:00 BST.

Following that, Floripa will host several other events around the World Cup. For more information, visit their website here.
